The deer antler velvet has been macerated in alcohol and infused in Mead made from honey. Therefore you can age it like Mead. You should store an unopened bottle of Spirit of the Stag similar to how you store unopened spirits or wine – That is in a dry and cool place. Some say Mead can last up to 10 years +. Since there’s quite a lot of alcohol In Spirit of the Stag 16%, you don’t need to refrigerate it after opening. Of course, for the quality of the liquor to remain great for longer, it’s better to put it into the fridge. But if you plan on finishing the bottle within the next couple of months, there’s really no need for refrigeration.
